Finally getting pics up from Madd's 5th birthday party. He wanted a swim party, and obviously having an October birthday, that's sort of hard to do. So, that gave us a great excuse to get a hotel room! Everyone met in our room for pizza, cake, and presents, then off they went to the pool. Fun & easy!

Fall Fun

FINALLY getting pics updated from the past couple of weeks. 2 weeks ago was Homecoming, and every year I post just how CrAzY homecoming week is! This year was pretty chaotic but as always, a huge success. Jax' 2nd grade class float theme was, "Kick the Lopes". We decorated the float like a football field and the kids were football players & cheerleaders. It turned out super cute and they won 2nd place for "best float".

Maddox' class theme was "POW BOOM BANG the Lopes". We decorated their float like a city and all the kids were little super heroes. They were so precious! The yellow signs was my project and I was really proud of how they turned out! They won 3rd place for "best float". The duck dynasty float, which was kindergarten won 1st.

The last few pics are from Maddox' field trip to the corn maze. It has been a busy school year, and like always, it's flying by.

Yesterday was Maddox' 5th birthday (sigh). My baby is a not a baby anymore. We are celebrating him tomorrow and will post pics soon!

CRAZY TOWN!!

I can't believe we are already entering our 3rd week of school, and I haven't posted anything about it! You would think, with BOTH boys in school full time I would have plenty of time for my blog. HA!

Yes, you read it right....both of my babies are in school. Maddox FINALLY gets to go to school with his brother like he has been anxiously awaiting for 3 years. He is in pre-k and doing absolutely wonderful. I have been so proud of how he has handled this huge adjustment in his life. Jax is a big 2nd grader and is doing wonderful too. Our transition back into school was smooth and I love having our normal routine back in place. I haven't downloaded any pics but will get around to that soon....hopefully ;)

My man is away for the weekend. He is with all of his buddies, floating the river, for a bachelor party. I know, lucky guy! However, when he is gone, it makes me realize how much I love him. He is my whole world, my heart and soul. I absolutely do not think I could breath without him. The whole reason for this post is because here lately there have been so many sad things happening, to people I know, to people I'm acquainted with, and to people who I know through friends. It just seems like everyday, something tragic has happened. My heart breaks over and over when I hear about these different situations. I pray for each one of these families whether I know them personally or not. It also gives me time to reflect on the people in my life and continually pray for them. I would be nothing without my family and my friends, and while I say that I have a very close relationship with Christ, I honestly do not know what I would do if I lost one of my own. I hold each one near and dear to my heart. I'm so thankful that my husband has his buddies to go away and have "guy time" with, but I am always ready to see his handsome face walk through the door. Hold your loved ones tight. Love one another. Life is short, for you are not promised tomorrow.
