July 4th 2010: Friends, Food, Fun and.....RAIN!!

I must say, this was the strangest, most out of the ordinary July 4th I have ever had.....but probably tops the list for the most fun!! As most of you know, over the past few days, Lubbock and the surrounding areas have had over 10 inches of rain. EVERYTHING is under water. However, that did not stop us from celebrating the holiday with some of our very best friends!

Saturday night we went to The Mounce Residents for some hot dogs & fun in the rain....the boys also got a visit from some very special critters....

Sunday afternoon we headed over to the Toman Residents for more fun and food....Debbie is the queen of cooking ribs! AWESOME STUFF! Thank goodness the weather cleared out and it was hot and steamy just in time for the

ANNUAL OLD MEN'S WATER BASKETBALL GAME!!

You would think they would be smart enough by now to realize they are too old for this stuff....nope, boys will be boys!! I don't know who had more fun, the guys, or the kids cheering on their daddies!! Too cute!
