New Home Leopards Homecoming~2010

Well I can honestly say we experienced our first Homecoming week and SURVIVED!!! Everybody kept telling me, when Homecoming week comes around, it will be CRAZY busy. I thought surely it's not that bad....well I was so wrong! It was a wild week but we had the best time and a great first year experience! One thing that I love about having Jax in a small school, and small community is that they include everyone. Pre-K was just as much involved in the homecoming activities than all of the other grades. Our theme was, "Leopard Power & Light~Electrocute the Elks" After long hours of gathering card board, painting signs, and attending meetings, I can honestly say that the pre-k float was phenomenal! In my opinion, they should have won the prize for best float! The kids all wore white shirts and jeans with hard hats and blaze orange vests. They were the cutest little "linemen" I have ever seen!

The festivities started on Thursday night with a huge homecoming carnival. Each class had games, blow up jumpers, spider climbers, etc. set up on the football field. The kids had to buy tickets in order to play each game, then of course would win a prize. That was probably my favorite part of the week. Such a cool thing for the kids and a great fund raiser as well. At the end of the carnival, the football players rode in on a fire truck then they had the bon-fire! Jax still talks about that carnival...def the highlight of the week!

Unfortunately the only pic I got at the carnival was this one, Mrs. Bundy (Jax' teacher) waiting to be dunked into the dunk tank!
