Jax 7th birthday

My sweet boy is 7! Instead of a party this year, he chose to have his first sleepover. I cringed at the idea, but then thought, it's his birthday so lets do it! I let him pick 5 friends to come over and stay the night. I wish I could've let him invite every single one of his friends but 1. Our house is not near big enough and 2. This momma needed to take baby steps. This sleepover thing was all new to us! One thing I was so nervous about was how to keep all of these boys entertained. The one that came to mind was, BALLOONS. Those things are not only cheap, but they're hours of entertainment. So I went and bought 2 huge bags of balloons, blew them all up and just scattered them all over the kitchen floor. Ya, just imagine 7 boys running through these balloons and knocking them up in the air, over and over. They also discovered that stuffing them up their shirt and playing bumper wars to see who's would pop first, was pretty fun! You just can't go wrong with balloons. I also bought silly string and confetti eggs....those battles were pretty hilarious too. Another thing I was nervous about was how many kids we would be driving home when bedtime came around. The answer to that is, zero! They all did so good and had so much fun. They all were asleep by 11:30 and awake the next morning by 6. It was definitely a success and Jax said it was the best birthday ever. That was all I needed to hear. I have a feeling there will be many more sleepovers in the future :). However, that next day we were all zombies!
