Our summer has blasted off in full swing!! Last week was the end of school, and just happened to be extremely wild and hectic. Due to the fact that my granddad passed away on Monday, we had tons of family in town, shuffling kids from school activities to mom and dads house for dinner every night, it was so crazy. We had planned on leaving Friday to go out of town to visit Jason's family, but since Granddads passing, our plans had to be changed a little bit. Instead of leaving town Friday, we went home to have his funeral. It was beautiful, emotional, and we were flat exhausted by the end of the day. However, we still really wanted to get to spend time with Jason's family so Saturday morning we packed up again, and headed their way. Jason's cousin got married in Houston a couple of weeks ago so his parents arranged for a "reception/family reunion" to honor and celebrate Eric & Michelle's marriage. As tired and drained as we were, we are SO glad we went. As you can see in the pictures, the kids had a blast! Jason's aunt and uncle live on a farm close to Brownwood. It was such a fun place! Needless to say, this week, we are staying home and probably not getting out of our pjs. Time to regroup and really start enjoying summer :)
I think it's safe to say, Maddox really LOVES to get as dirty as possible. That's why we call him, "pig pen" :))
