The Rockhounds

Let the craziness begin!  Our 1st T-Ball game was this past Monday night, and I had an absolute blast watching those little ones out there playing!  Jax did so good and was so proud that he scored a run for his team.  If there were ever a significant moment where I wish my Pop were still alive, it was then.  Many of you don't know that my Pop was the King of Baseball.  When he was a teen he got a call from the Chicago Whitesox and they wanted him to come up and try out for the team.  He turned them down because he wanted to stay home to help his dad farm, and marry my granny.  From what I hear, he had a pitching arm that was unbelievable.  He passed those traits down to my dad, who was also a baseball playing machine. So, needless to say, this sport has been in our family for years.  I will never forget growing up watching the Atlanta Braves.  That's who my dad and pop always rooted for.  If it was baseball season and you were at our house, you better believe, a baseball game was always on. So anyways, I know that Pop was proudly watching his "leftie" great-grandson play ball Monday night.  It was definitely a proud moment for me.  I can't wait for the many years ahead of watching my boys do their thing. (even if its not baseball)

GO ROCKHOUNDS!
