BIG milestone!

 BIG things are going on in the Rasco household!  My sweet little Maddox has decided (all on his own) that he was ready to use the potty.  I have been debating on when I was going to start "trying" to potty train him.  For those of you who remember, Jax was a NIGHTMARE to potty train.  He was well over 3 1/2 before he really starting using the potty on a regular basis.  #2 for Jax, I thought was going to kill us all.  Oh I just don't even want to go back to those days....definitely the darkest days of my parenting experience!  So, because of that, I just haven't even wanted to start trying with Maddox.  I just assumed he was going to be as difficult....so I've been putting it off.  Well, we've sort of been talking to him about it and of course he watches Jax all of the time.  So last week he just decided that he needed to teetee in the potty.  Of course I jumped up and helped him to the bathroom, got him up on the stool and he says, "no it's not working."  I said, "it's ok, thanks for trying!"  I didn't think anything about it.  Really, I just thought he didn't really know what he was talking about.  BOY was I wrong!!  He did that several more times until finally something came out....he screams, "IT'S WORKING!!"  We danced and praised him and gave him candy and away he went.  So the teetee'ing was a thing of the past.....however, the much dreaded #2 was still to come.  I introduced him to the little potty cover and told him that when he needed to poo poo (sorry I know TMI) then we would sit on this and it would be much easier.  He just thought that was the coolest thing ever and never skipped a beat.  I just couldn't believe it.  All those days I spent begging Jax to poop in the potty and NOT in his underwear.  All those hours I spent scrubbing undies.  All those dollars I spent on buying new undies.....it's all a thing of the past.  WHEW!  Maddox has completely done this all on his own.  He was obviously ready (even though I wasn't).  I've just been so proud of him and SO relieved that this time around has been a breeze.  Maddox Layn, you are such a big boy and I'm so proud of you!!
